Raul Brizuela

President & CEO

Raul Brizuela has over 27 years of experience in the medical device industry and is the Founder, President, and CEO of Cura Surgical, a medical device company with a focus in infection prevention and woundcare. In 2012 Raul led the effort in the acquisition of Argentum Medical. Raul is President, CEO and Board Member of Argentum Medical where he works to provide oversight and guidance to all commercial areas. In 2016 Raul oversaw the partnering with Shore Capital Partners. The partnership brought forth significant support to Argentum’s strategic growth initiative by leveraging Shore’s extensive expertise in the healthcare industry.

Raul also serves as Co-principal investigator on multiple BARDA studies. The BARDA studies are evaluating the use of Argentum’s Silverlon technologies as a medical countermeasure in mass casualty applications. The studies focus specifically on radiologically induced injuries and exposure to vapor sulfur mustard.

Raul studied International Business at Bradley University. Outside of the office Raul is a proud father and husband. He is an active board member of Legatus of Saint Charles. Raul volunteered as the president of the education commission for Saint Patrick Catholic School and served on the steering committee with the goal of raising 20 million dollars for the capital campaign of Saint Patrick Parish.

Christopher Murray

Chief Commercial Officer

Chris is an executive leader with over 20 years of successful medical device experience leading high performance teams, launching new medical devices, and creating new markets. He has earned a reputation in startup organizations and billion dollar companies of identifying, recruiting, and developing high performing teams. Currently Chris is the Chief Commercial Officer for Cura Surgical, An Argentum Medical Company, with responsibility for US Sales and Marketing.

Prior to joining Cura Surgical, Chris held various leadership roles with BD (acquired CareFusion) including Region Manager, Director of Corporate Accounts, and Strategic Account Director. In these roles, Chris worked with all of the different platforms including, but not limited to: Infection Prevention, Vascular, Respiratory, Interventional Specialties and Surgical Instruments. Prior to BD/CareFusion, Chris held various leadership roles with CR Bard in the Bard Medical Division (Acquired Venetec in 2006). These roles included Strategic Account Manager and Region Manager positions in the Northeast focused on continued expansion of StatLock catheter securement. Chris was one of the original sales representatives for Venetec International, San Diego based startup, here he played a key role in this successful market launch, and pioneered the launch into the peripheral vascular market.

Chris has a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Moravian University and is currently on the Fair Haven School District Board of Education.

Enrique Aviles

Chief Operations Officer

Enrique Aviles has over 30 years of solid manufacturing experience. Before joining Argentum Medical, he worked at BD for 20 years.

During his tenure at BD, Enrique performed various leadership roles as Plant Manager, Senior Director Operations and VP of Manufacturing. In his roles, he successfully lead major projects such as: Infection Prevention Bard/BD Integration, BD production system, Regulatory Compliance Remediation, Plant startups, New product introductions, Lean transformations, SAP implementations, Product architecture, Customer Centric and many others.

In 2019 Enrique directed the largest infection prevention (Chloraprep) operation located in El Paso, Tx. $500K in COGS and achieved the Large plant of the year award best operation competing against 100 other plants around the world.

Enrique studied Industrial Engineering at the University of Puerto Rico, Mayaguez Campus and started his engineering career by joining GE’s (MMP) manufacturing management program, including foreign countries assignments.

Enrique is a proud father of four and married for 35 years, also enjoys his boat, deep sea fishing, cooking and wine.

Adam Rodriguez

Chief Financial Officer

Bravida Medical welcomed Adam Rodriguez on December 2, 2024, as the new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Adam brings over 25 years of experience as a Vice President for various industry leading companies, including Mammoth Biosciences, Conifer Health Solutions (Subsidiary of Tenet Healthcare), Medtronic, Acelity, and Merrill Lynch & Company. With his profound business sense, Adam brings his strategic vision, operating skills, and enthusiasm for transforming global healthcare across therapeutics, devices, and services to generate shareholder value.

After receiving his BS in Business Administration from USC and his MBA from Stanford University, Adam went on to achieve great success in investment banking, finance operations, mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, integration, debt and equity financing, and investor relations in public and private equity-backed BioTech, MedTech, and services entities. Adam brings his wealth of knowledge and experience and undoubtedly will be instrumental in Bravida Medical’s future growth.

Colleen Kennedy

VP of Direct to Consumer Sales & Marketing

Colleen Kennedy joined BioDerm as Vice President of D2C Sales and Marketing, bringing more than 20 years of experience driving D2C marketing programs. Prior to Bioderm, Colleen directed agency teams at Bluewater Media, working with a variety of D2C brands to maximize revenue opportunities.
Marc Garofani

VP of Finance

Marc Garofani came to BioDerm, Inc. as a finance manager with extensive hands-on experience in financial management and business leadership within the medical field. Prior to BioDerm, Inc., Garofani worked with TouchPoint Medical, Inc. as Americas Finance Director.
Shawn Stone

VP of Operations

Stone has more than 20 years of experience in operations, materials, supply chain, and project management, with an emphasis on regulated industries including aerospace and medical device.

Jim has over 40 years of experience in quality assurance and regulatory affairs in the commercial, aerospace, military, and medical device fields, with over 32 years’ experience in a leadership position.

Born and raised in Orlando, Florida, he has a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Central Florida and a Master’s in Business Administration from Florida International University.

Jim’s professional career includes 14 years in quality and regulatory experience with military and aerospace contractors and 26 years of quality and regulatory experience with medical device manufacturers.

Jim currently lives in Whitmore Lake Michigan with his wife of 30 years, Dena. They have a son James. Among his hobbies are genealogy and scuba diving.

Andrew Muser
VP of Research & Development
Muser has over 30 years of experience in design, developing, and improving medical devices. Andrew is a named inventor on 24 patents with 8 applications pending. Andrew has a degree in Plastics Engineering from the University of Massachusetts, Lowell, and an MBA from NC State with a concentration in Innovation Management.
Jim Terpstra

VP of Acute Care & VAD

Jim Terpstra is a healthcare sales executive with an established track record of success in developing sales teams that achieve excellent results. Since joining BioDerm in 2013, Terpstra has been responsible for expanding sales of BioDerm’s revolutionary products for catheter securement and male urinary incontinence.

David Moyer
VP of Sales, Vascular & MCS

Experienced executive leader, national sales director, & key account representative with a demonstrated history of success working in the hospital & health care industry. Strong sales professional skilled in developing & managing sales team, product and market development, international sales, medical sales to the top 100 health systems, integrating internal departmental resources, and sales innovation.

As the Vice President of Sales, Dave currently leads Bravida Medical’s rapid expansion into vascular related sales in all US markets primarily focusing on leading health systems. While continuing expanding Cura’s traditional vascular business, Dave is creating new markets for Silverlon through account penetration, mobilizing key clinician leaders, and integrating Bravida’s into primary distribution & companion sales organizations.

Prior to Bravida, Dave was the top salesperson at Centurion Medical Products for many years. He then became Director of Sales for the next ten years with primary responsibilities including new market & product development, sales innovation and training, and key national account penetration. With Medline Industries purchase of Centurion, Dave contributed to the successful integration of both companies while leading two regions as a Market Director with exceptional growth and profitability.

Dave graduated Gettysburg College with an Economics degree, is currently married with 2 children, and lives just outside of New York City in Tenafly, NJ.

Aaron McClain
VP of Government & National Accounts
Aaron McClain joined Bravida Medical in March 2024. He brings over 30 years of experience in the Med Devic/Healthcare Industry, with a focus on US Government Healthcare. Aaron has proven expertise in a full range of US Government and US National Account management, to include Contract Award and Management, Logistics, and Sales. He spent over 23 years with KCI USA/3M creating a world-class US Government team that was a key to 3M’s success in addressing clinical needs during the recent COVID Pandemic and during our wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Finally, he is a veteran of the US Army during Operation Desert Storm and holds an undergraduate degree from the Univ. of Akron.
Susumu Akatsu
VP of International Business
Susumu Akatsu joined Bravida Medical in November of 2023. He brings a wealth of medical device leadership experience with a career spanning roles at Sanofi Diagnostics Pasteur, Smiths Medical, ARKRAY USA, C.R. BARD, and Medtronic. Over 70% of his professional life has been dedicated to international business management, including a five-year stint in Japan spearheading the launch of an innovative immunoassay system across Asia. His accomplishments also include the global launches of a trend-setting insulin pump and a first-to-market intracardiac pacemaker. A native of Japan, Akatsu studied commerce at Meiji University in Tokyo before receiving an economics degree from the University of Michigan, and an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin.

Goyer is an accomplished, EQ-focused leader of People with a unique entrepreneurial mindset. His experience includes influencing, inspiring, and advising interdisciplinary leaders and field operations teams across various organizations to include; private, public, nonprofit, and government contracts.
Zak Blemker
National Sales Director of Post Acute Wound Care
Zak Blemker joined Bravida Medical in January 2021. Zak has spent the past 15 years consistently achieving success in a variety of roles in different medical industries. He has experience leading sales teams in infection prevention, medical device, capital, advanced wound care, and disposables in both acute (all call-points) and alternate care markets. Zak played baseball and holds a Master’s Degree in Nutrition and Exercise Science from Southeast Missouri State University.
Justin Schuster
Director of Operations of WCR
Justin served in the 82nd Airborne Division, U.S. Army, where he focused on Command and Staff, Administration, and Logistics. With over 25 years in Long Term and Home Care DME. He is skilled in navigating regulatory environments such as the FDA, DEA, OSHA, DOT, and state agencies. He has a strong background in General Management, Operations Management, Clinical and Sales Team Management, Direct-to-Consumer Fulfillment, DME Equipment Pilot Programs, Revenue Cycle Management, building company infrastructure and training, developing management teams, bio-medical repair, and Fleet Management.
Chris Isbell
Surgical Sales Director – West
Chris Isbell joined Bravida Medical in August 2020. Chris has 20 years of surgical experience, OR consulting management and leadership. A background of OR efficiency modeling coupled with capital & consumable sales in various surgical specialties has brought him vast experience in understanding how to improve the bottom line of the surgery department. He has an undergraduate degree in business management from the University of Alabama and an MBA from the University of Texas – Arlington.
Steve Blazejewski
Steve is the CEO of Aspen Surgical, leading the global strategic direction of the company. He has spent nearly his entire 30-year career working in the medical device industry, including Covidien, Medtronic, Cardinal Health and Katena Products. He has a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Pennsylvania and a certificate from attending Harvard Business School’s ‘Leading Global Businesses’ executive course.
Arion Robbins
Arion is the founder of Dawn Patrol Partners, an investment firm focused on lower-middle market entrepreneurs. Prior to founding Dawn Patrol, Arion was a Principal at Revelstoke Capital Partners, a Denver based private equity firm where he was responsible for sourcing, evaluating and strategically growing portfolio companies. He began his institutional career in New York City where he held roles at Tenex Capital Management and Barclays Capital. Prior to New York, he worked in the Private Client Group at Wachovia Securities. He is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and a Chartered Financial Analyst.
Thomas Donohue
Thomas J. Donohue Jr. is the President and Founder of Adelphi Capital. Over the past two decades Mr. Donohue has built Adelphi’s merchant banking practice through principal investments and advisory activities across several industry sectors where the firm has developed deep expertise, including: transportation, telecommunications and technology, financial services, infrastructure, and national security. He is also a board member of the National Chamber Foundation, the research arm of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Donohue is a graduate of Georgetown University.​
Madhu Palkar

Madhu has over 20 years of experience in healthcare management, spanning providers, payers, medical products, employers, and consumers. She began her healthcare career as a Biomedical Systems Engineer at Boston Scientific and later at Medtronic. Madhu has been a key member of the Bravida Medical Board since 2022 and also serves on the board of Aventis Alpha, a leading home care and home health services company.

Her most recent executive role was as Chief Strategy Officer at Unified Women’s Healthcare. Prior to that, Madhu dedicated over 11 years at UnitedHealth Group/Optum, where she held several key positions, including Chief Strategy Officer of UHC Global, Chief Operating Officer of Optum’s Managed Care Business, and President of Consumer Products.

Chris Fashek
Chris is the Chairman of the Board of MedTech Solutions Group (MTSG), a global Sales Management, Marketing and Clinical team managing a worldwide distributor network and is also the Chairman at NanoVibronix (NAOV – NASDAQ). He has played key roles in several wound care driven technologies including the CEO of Spiracur, Inc., Chairman of the Board at Systagenix and Vice Chairman, President and CEO of KCI USA. Chris is a subject matter expert in business development, marketing, sales, product development, and positioning corporations for hyper-growth and sustainability. He holds his MBA from Fairleigh Dickinson University and Bachelor of Arts in History from Upsala College.
